Why not start today?

I'm spending a little time sorting photos this morning.  I try to keep up on this because the kids (and I) really love looking through the good times (and silly things, and sometimes harder stuff) captured in pictures.  It helps me regain perspective,.

This morning I find my "yummies" folder is bursting...and it's making me hungry to scroll through the photos, even though I'm more of a soup-for-breakfast kind of gal.

So why not start a yummies blog today?  For me, desserts and good food can make any day a celebration, and any celebration even a little more memorable.  Life is good...don't ever hesitate to eat a little bit of something delicious every day.  Sweeten the sour days, elevate the every day.  Never miss a chance to share good food!

A sweet seven year old's birthday cake--She's a party all by herself

The real layers on this cake (top 2) were just a box lemon cake with buttercream frosting flavored with lemon.  Somehow it turned out to be one of the most luscious cakes I've ever had!  I usually have left overs from birthday party cakes, but not this one...the girls were sad the bottom layer was a Costco applesauce box.
